Well the last few days have been interesting, i'll tell you about one of the highlights... but just one since it's so late in the p.m. So here in Alberta, around this time of year we have a tendancy to have terrific storms.... not just little rain clouds, but good storms with lots and lots of thunder and lightening, sometimes theirs hail, which is painful, but anyway... so the other night there was some of the best lightening that i've ever seen. So my friend Kalie and I decided to pretend we were storm chasers and follow the lighting, we went for awhile on the highway and then turned off onto a side road to see if we could find a good view, except this storm produced a fair amount of rain along with the lightening, gravel/dirt roads get a little slippery, control is minimal.... so to make the long story not quite as long, we got stuck, not quite into the ditch, but enough to know that if we tried anyharder to get out on our own, the car and us would be a good ways down the embankment.... alright so now we're in the mud, the mud where you sink in when you step... thus flip flop sandles, do not work so well, she had nice swade boots or something on. so we went barefoot and hiked the mile back to the highway to figure out where we were to call someone to pick us up. eventually they came, in there good old 4x4 and hauled us in reverse up the hill.... yeah !!! we dont have to spend the night in the car in the ditch.... anyway so the lesson learned.... well actually i knew it but i wasn't that smart, if you start feeling a little slide in the mud, or for those of you have never but may one day drive on snow or ice the absolute worst thing to do is touch the brakes! but the lightening was sweet. plus it was a pretty fun adventure, no critical injuries, well actually none at all, except maybe Kalie had a cut on her foot from walking barefoot..... um.... the end..... of time..... well actually the day.... for me at least
